Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Day 1Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve Early morning pick up from the hotel or airport. There will be a brief safari orientation (pre-departure meeting). Thereafter, you will drive north to the northern frontier, passing by the Equator in Nanyuki. You'll continue to the semi-arid Samburu National Reserve and check into your camp/lodge. After lunch at the lodge, there will be time to settle in before your first game drive adventure begins. You'll set out for a late afternoon/sunset game drive in the reserve, with chances of spotting the cats/Big Five and the Samburu special five, among other wildlife. You will return before dark for dinner, overnight stay, and relaxation at Sopa Lodge. Day 2Samburu National Reserve Samburu National Reserve Breakfast is early morning. Then, you'll get out for an early morning game drive in the reserve. This is usually the most popular wildlife viewing time. During the early hours, temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lion, cheetah, and leopard roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog. Whatever the players, the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe-inspiring! You'll enjoy a full-day game drive till the evening. You'll return to the camp/lodge before dark for dinner and an overnight stay at Sopa Lodge. You'll drive to Nairobi and arrive in the late afternoon/early evening. You'll be dropped off at a Nairobi hotel or airport. End of safari & services!
