Thereafter, you will drive north to the northern frontier, passing by the Equator in Nanyuki. You'll continue to the semi-arid Samburu National Reserve and check into your camp/lodge. After lunch at the lodge, there will be time to settle in before your first game drive adventure begins. You'll set out for a late afternoon/sunset game drive in the reserve, with chances of spotting the cats/Big Five and the Samburu special five, among other wildlife. You will return before dark for dinner, overnight stay, and relaxation at Sopa Lodge. This is usually the most popular wildlife viewing time. During the early hours, temperatures are low, thus providing a favorable atmosphere both for the game and the viewer. Lion, cheetah, and leopard roam the vast grasslands in search of their next meal, it may be an unsuspecting impala or even a small one like the warthog. Whatever the players, the spectacle of nature unfolding is always awe-inspiring! You'll enjoy a full-day game drive till the evening.
