Here, you see hippos and crocodiles. The spring produces over one million liters of water per day. Next, you exit Tsavo West through the Chyulu Gate and head for Amboseli National Park. You will stop at Shetani Lava for photos and proceed to Kimana Gate in Amboseli (80km from Tsavo West). You arrive at the lodge in Amboseli in time for lunch, and you can relax until the afternoon game drive. You return to the lodge at 6:30pm. Day 4Amboseli National Park to Taita Hills Amboseli National Park to Taita Hills You will have an early morning game drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you depart to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, where you will have lunch. After lunch, you leave on a game drive in the sanctuary from 4:00pm until 6:00pm (when the sun sets). You have a good chance to see lions during this game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay are at Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Salt Lick Safari Lodge is especially memorable for its imaginative structure. A complex of rondavels sits on stilts over a series of water holes. The two-story towers, topped by peaked thatch roofs, are connected by open-air bridges, creating an African fantasy of a medieval fortress. The lodge was built with game viewing in mind – you can see animals in all directions because it offers spectacular open views.
