Day 1Dar es Salaam– Mikumi National Park Dar es Salaam– Mikumi National Park On your arrival at Dar es Salaam Julius Nyerere International Airport, you will be welcomed by a Kihindo Tours and Safaris representative and driven on a 5 hour 30 minutes or 6-hour road ride in a fully equipped 4x4 vehicle amid luxury landscapes and lively villages. You will stop over for a light meal break and proceed to Camp lilac Mikumi. After a refreshing pause, we will take you on a guided visit to the nearby Masai village. Daylong mountain hiking and discovery of different primate species in their natural habitat among which the Iringa red Colobus. You will enjoy a rich picnic by one of the many waterfalls. You'll depart in the morning after breakfast for a 7-hour 30-minute road drive. Upon arrival and after indulging a few hours’ well-needed pause and lunch at your lodge, we take you on a boat safari on the Rufiji River sliding by crocodiles and hippos while discovering a stunning variety of birds. You'll complete your day with a magnificent sunset on the river. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Mloka Safari Lodge. Activity: Transfer sightseeing and river wildlife discovery. Lakes host an array of aquatic fauna, magnificent baobab trees, extended plains, hills, bush, and forest where you will pass by giraffes, elephants, warthogs, the rare wild dogs, among so many others, birds, monkeys, and the list goes on. Escorted by rangers, you will start your day walking in the wild for 2 hours 30 minutes learning about the life in the bush and discovering the less visible animal life. A rich breakfast will be served upon returning to the lodge. The adventure reaches its end. After breakfast, you'll start a 5-hour return drive to Dar es Salaam amid the now familiar landscapes and colorful villages. Lunch box meals will be offered for the picnic pause.
