Day 2Busanga Plains Busanga Plains Today, you depart Mukambi Safari Lodge and head by road to Busanga Plains where you will spend the next 3 nights. The transfer is a game drive, and upon arrival at Busanga Plains Camp, enjoy brunch followed by a tea break and your afternoon game drive. The unique wetland ecosystem covers 720km² of palm groves, papyrus-choked reed beds and lily-covered lagoons, supporting an abundance of African wildlife and bird species. Look out for lion, cheetah, African buffalo, hippo, oribi, roan antelope, lechwe, zebra, blue wildebeest and large elephant herds. Busanga is a birder’s paradise with over 500 recorded species. Day 5Back to Kafue Back to Kafue After breakfast, you depart the camp to return to Mukambi Safari Lodge via a meandering game drive. Enjoy lunch at the lodge and relax or take part in the afternoon activity. As evening draws, enjoy a lovely chat around the campfire before retiring to the comfort of your room and the sounds of the African night.
