Nairobi - Sirimon Gate - Old Moses Camp (3300m)

Day 1Nairobi - Sirimon Gate - Old Moses Camp (3300m) Nairobi - Sirimon Gate - Old Moses Camp (3300m) Pick up at the hotel/airport at 7am. Leave Nairobi with a shared shuttle van. Arrival in Nanyuki at around 1pm. Have hot lunch and transfer to Sirimon gate where you will start your hiking to Old Moses/ Judimere campsite. Trek from Sirimon gate to Judimere campsite is a distance of 9km that take a bout 3-4 hours trekking, passing through the forest of indigenous trees. Dinner and over night in the tent at Old Moses camp. Day 2Old Moses- Shiptons Camp (4200m) Old Moses- Shiptons Camp (4200m) Wake up at 6:00am in the morning, pack your belongings, and then have after breakfast at 6:30am. Leave Old Moses campsite exactly at 7:00 am to Shiptons campsite a distance of 14 km a journey that takes 6-7 hours. Shiptons camp is located at the base of the highest peaks namely Batian and Nelion. Hot lunch will be served along the way. Dinner and overnight in the tent at Shiptons campsite. Day 3Shiptons Camp - Peak Lenana - Mintos Camp (4300m) Shiptons Camp - Peak Lenana - Mintos Camp (4300m) Wake up very early in the morning at 2:30 am to prepare your self and the take pre breakfast. Leave Shiptons at 3am to attempt the summit a journey to the peak. Arrival at the peak by sunrise. Point Lenana is the third highest peak in Mt Kenya and the only one that can be reached by trekking. On a clear sky day, you can see Mt Kilimanjaro on southern side and Indian Ocean shining as the sun is rising. After enjoying the summit, descend down back to Mintos Camp and rest for the day. Mintos - Meru Bandas (3000m)

Day 4Mintos - Meru Bandas (3000m) Mintos - Meru Bandas (3000m) This will be a slow day. Have breakfast, leave at 9am for your descent to Meru Banda's campsite. The trek will be 22km. On the way you will have a view of Lake Ellis. Enjoy hot lunch at road head camp. Arrive at Meru Bandas for dinner and overnight stay at Meru Bandas. Day 5Meru Bandas - Nairobi Meru Bandas - Nairobi Have breakfast, take in your last moments in Mt Kenya. Pick up by a land rover to Chogoria town. Bid goodbye to the hiking team. Board your shared shuttle with the guide to Nairobi. The journey will take roughly 4 hours. Arrival in Nairobi by 3-4pm. Drop off at your hotel/airport.
