He will brief you, and after we will drive southwest to the Bwindi forest. Have two stopovers, one at the Equator to buy crafts and take photos, and another in Mbarara for lunch. Day 2Gorilla Trekking- Bwindi forest Gorilla Trekking- Bwindi forest After the tasty breakfast, ensure you carry packed lunch from the lodge as you drive straight to the headquarters. Here you will meet fellow trekkers and be briefed concerning gorilla trekking. Later you will begin trekking as led by the park ranger guides who are well informed and knowledgeable about these gorillas, how long trekking will take depends on the movement of mountain gorillas at that time therefore it could last for 2 to 8 hours. You are encouraged to carry enough water, sunglasses, raincoats, hats, and to wear sturdy shoes. You will be allowed to be with the gorillas for only one hour. Return to your lodge and relax. During the evening hours, you can decide to stay at the lodge and rest or visit the Batwa community of which you will discover a lot about their culture and customs. Come back for dinner and have an overnight. Upon arrival at the park, you will check-in at the lodge, enjoy a yummy lunch there as you prepare to go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. On this boat, you will see a lot of water animals like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and elephants that come to take water as well as different bird species like the malachite kingfisher, saddle-billed stork, among others. Head back to the lodge, have dinner, and overnight.
