Nairobi- Mount Kenya
Day 1Nairobi- Mount Kenya Nairobi- Mount Kenya You'll leave Nairobi at 8.30 am, and transfer to Sirimon Park Gate (2,660m) the base of your Mt. Kenya. At Sirimon Gate, you will meet with your guides, porters, and chefs. You'll have lunch at the Sirimon Gate at around noon. You'll begin the 9km trek to Old Moses (3300m). You'll have a stopover at Sirimon George to enjoy the views and take photographs. You'll have another break en route to hydrate and enjoy the spectacular views of Mt. Kenya. This trek takes approximately 3 hours. You'll have dinner and an overnight stay at the camp. Day 2Mount Kenya Mount Kenya You will have breakfast at Old Moses. You will depart the camp at 8:30 am for Shiptons (4200m). The trek is 14 km long and takes approximately 8 hours. You'll have en route lunch at a designated lunch point. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Shiptons Camp which overlooks the 3 majestic peaks Batian, Nelion, and Lenana. Day 3Mount Kenya Mount Kenya You'll depart the camp at 3:00 am, and navigate the stony terrain while ascending to point Lenana. Your arrival at Lenana will be at 6:30 am. This day will allow you to take photographs of the sunrise as you enjoy the breathtaking views. After summiting, you will descend to Shipton for breakfast. The trek to and from Peak Lenana to Shiptons is 5kms. Later, you'll descend to Old Moses with en route lunch. The walk from Shiptons to Old Moses is 14 km. Your arrival at Old Moses will be at approximately 5:00 pm. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Old Moses Camp. Mount Kenya-Nairobi
Day 4Mount Kenya-Nairobi Mount Kenya-Nairobi You'll have breakfast at the camp at 7:00 am and descend through the rainforest for approximately 2-3 hours. You'll arrive at Sirimon Gate, where you will meet your driver for a transfer to Nanyuki. You will have lunch in Nanyuki and depart Nanyuki for Nairobi. You'll be dropped off at your hotel.
