We drive through the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti Plains, famously known for its spectacular annual wildebeest migration. It is also home to Africa's Big Five (lions, elephants, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos). Enjoy lunch at the camp and relax before departing on the afternoon game drive. Other animals in the reserve include Masai giraffes, buffalos, eland, and thousands of plains game, including impalas, zebras, tophi, and both Thompsons and Grant gazelles. After the game drive, we will return to the hotel for breakfast. From here, we will spend time at a Maasai village before we depart to Nairobi with lunch at Narok. After lunch, we will drive to Lake Naivasha, where we will arrive in the late afternoon. Now it is time for a boat trip! Day 5Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park Depart on an early morning game drive to Hell’s Gate National Park. This is the only park in Kenya where one can cycle or walk while seeing the animals. After the game drive, you will return to the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, you depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a game drive en route (you have a good chance of encountering a leopard as they are frequently sighted in the park). You will arrive in time for lunch. After lunch, you leave for a game drive and take a further drive to seek out the two species of rhino found in the park—black and white. Lake Nakuru National Park is also known for many species of birds and thousands of flamingos.
