Day 1Kigoma to Gombe National Park Kigoma to Gombe National Park You will be picked up from your hotel or Kigoma Airport and transferred directly to the boat for a scenic cruise across Lake Tanganyika to Gombe National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in at Kasekela Rest House, settle into your room, and receive a short briefing from your professional guide. In the afternoon, you will head into the forest for your first chimpanzee trekking experience, with excellent chances of seeing chimpanzees, baboons, and other primates in their natural habitat. Listening to calls echoing through the forest and observing their social behavior is a truly unforgettable moment. After the trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some rest. In the evening, you'll have time to relax at Lake Tanganyika beach, to swim, unwind, and watch a beautiful sunset over the calm waters. Chimpanze Trekking in Gombe National Park
Day 2Chimpanze Trekking in Gombe National Park Chimpanze Trekking in Gombe National Park Breakfast will be served at 7:30 am, after which you will embark on a full chimpanzee trekking adventure deep into the forest. During the trek, you will visit the Kakombe Waterfall, the chimpanzee feeding station, and explore the lush forest ecosystem, observing its diverse flora and fauna. Along the way, you may encounter various primates, including baboons, colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, and red-headed monkeys, all in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will return to the camp for a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, you will enjoy swimming in Lake Tanganyika or unwind on the beach while watching a breathtaking sunset. Dinner will be served at 7:30 pm, followed by an overnight stay at Kasekela Rest House, preparing you for the final day of your Gombe adventure.
