Le parc national de la forêt de Nyungwe, situé au sud-ouest du Rwanda, protège la plus grande forêt de montagne d'Afrique et l'un des écosystèmes les plus riches en biodiversité du continent. Le parc est l'habitat principal des chimpanzés du Rwanda et abrite un total de 13 espèces de primates, dont le colobe d'Angola, une espèce remarquable qui forme des groupes pouvant atteindre 400 individus, ce qui en fait les plus grands groupes de primates arboricoles d'Afrique.
