Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 1Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Depart Entebbe after your early morning breakfast and head to Bwindi, which is found in southwestern Uganda and is home to rare mountain gorillas. Along the way, you will have spectacular views of the landscape, from flat lands to rolling steep hills. It is really a breathtaking journey! Have lunch en route in Mbarara and later proceed to Bwindi, arriving late afternoon. Check-in at your preferred lodge. Whatever lodge you choose will give you a feel and view of the park, together with the amazing sounds of water flowing and birds in the thick forest. Enjoy your dinner and overnight. Gorilla Tracking in the Bwindi Forest
Day 2Gorilla Tracking in the Bwindi Forest Gorilla Tracking in the Bwindi Forest Have your breakfast early and pack your lunch. After that, your driver guide will take you to the park headquarters. At 8:00am, the park rangers will brief you on the park rules and what to do and not to do when you meet the gorillas. Tracking gorillas takes between two and eight hours. Ensure you carry enough drinking water, strong shoes, a jacket and a walking stick. Meeting the gorillas will be a dream come true! Watch the playful juveniles, the silverbacks and other gentle giants feeding the young ones. Take as many photos as you want with your camera flash off. Later, head back to your lodge and rest. In the evening, you go on the Batwa trail. This will allow you to interact with the local community, learn how they live, and watch them perform their traditional dances and songs. Return to the lodge, have dinner and overnight. Day 3Transfer to Kibale National Park and a Forest Walk Transfer to Kibale National Park and a Forest Walk Start your day with a tasty breakfast, check out from the lodge, and begin your journey to Kibale National Park. There is plenty to enjoy on this exciting journey, and Kabale has spectacular scenery. You will stop to take some photos along the way and arrive in Kibale in the late evening. Proceed to check in at the lodge and have dinner before you turn in for the night. You could also opt for an evening forest walk where you might see bush babies (this depends on the accommodation facility you are using). Afterward, return to the lodge and rest, as you will have an exciting and long day tomorrow. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee Forest Guest Lodge. You will also have the opportunity to see beautiful birds and other primates, such as the white and black colobus monkeys, baboons, L'Hoest's monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys, among others. When you meet the chimpanzees, you'll be amazed as you watch them jump on different branches, feed, and play. You will also see their nests, where they rest and sleep. Remember to take plenty of photos, but be sure to turn off your camera flash. Later, return to the lodge for lunch, check out, and return to Kampala or Entebbe for your flight if it is on the same day.
