Itinerary
Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park
Day 1Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park The safari begins with a pickup from your hotel, resort or at the airport upon arrival. We’ll take the scenic Mombasa-Nairobi highway, viewing farmlands and the Kenyan countryside along the way. Tsavo East National Park is a superb place to watch wildlife. It’s a vast, semi-arid wilderness populated by elephants, sometimes in large herds and caked in the red Tsavo dust, and unique maneless lions. Tsavo’s wild and sunlit plains host other highlights, from cheetahs on the hunt to gerenuk and Somali ostrich, which you can rarely see elsewhere this far south. If you range beyond the main track through the park, it can feel like a real adventure. You will arrive in time for check-in, refreshment, lunch, and then an evening game drive in the park. Your experienced safari driver-guide will take you through the national park tracks and later drop you off at your safari lodge for dinner and the night's stay. Tsavo East - Amboseli National Park
Day 2Tsavo East - Amboseli National Park Tsavo East - Amboseli National Park Rise early for our first morning safari to take full advantage of the dawning light and emerging animal life. Enjoy breakfast and then a quick game drive as we exit Tsavo East. We’re now bound for Amboseli National Park. Take breaks along the way on our journey to this very popular park. The imposing form of Mount Kilimanjaro will be our beacon guiding us to the park entrance. Arriving, we’ll freshen up after check in and enjoy lunch &refreshment, before embarking on our first game drive at the foot of the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. Amboseli is one of Kenya's most popular parks. Compared to Tsavo East, Amboseli is small, and its compact size offers us more opportunities to see the big game. However, you can’t miss the elephants at this reserve. They are in such abundance, you’re guaranteed sightings! Also, get your “Big Five” checklist out; if you missed any of them at Tsavo East, you just may spot them here. Dining at your camp or lodge and overnight stay.
